The maximum allowed stream bitrate for the Free Cloud plan is 96 Kbps.
You can increase this limit to 128 Kbps by upgrading to Cloud Plus. -
When streaming at a bitrate higher than is allowed for your plan the radio server will shut down automatically and an email alert will be sent to the email address associated with your account.

Caster.fm Cloud supports the following codecs:
Opus, Ogg, MP3, AAC, AAC+
Although those are all supported, we highly recommend broadcasting at the Opus codec which is far superior to the rest. -
You will need to connect with a broadcast software in order to send a stream to the server, once you do, the broadcast will be on-air.

Our cloud service only supports live broadcasts, meaning, a broadcast software on your computer needs to stream to the server the audio content.If you require an AutoDJ system you should have a look at our Pro Plan service.
